Duties | Community volunteers are trained to work as part of a team to assist victims of crime or tragedy by providing emotional support, practical assistance and community referrals. Support can be on-site or by phone. Referrals are from police and community agencies. |

All volunteers are welcome to apply. An initial interview is held prior to acceptance to training. |
Training | Orientation ; Training is provided ; Scheduled training ; Training on the job ; Training on-going ; Successful applicants must complete a mandatory online and in-class training program. Training will prepare volunteers with the skills necessary to work in partnership with police as together they endeavour to support victims of crime and tragic circumstance. |
Transportation | Driver License required ; Car required ; Must have a valid driver's license and liability insurance on the vehicle being used while on agency business. Must have a cell phone. |

Additional Requirements | Must have reliable transportation. Criminal record check will include requirements for working with vulnerable persons. Volunteer will require a cell phone while on duty. |
