Duties

Job Summary: We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us at community outreach events for The Learning Disabilities Association of York Simcoe that reside in York Region or Simcoe County. You will be contacted on an as-needed basis, with events typically held on weekends and occasionally on weekdays. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with the community and learn about Learning Disabilities (LD)  and the programs we offer. Your involvement will help us raise awareness and support for our mission.

Duties:

  • Assist with setting up and taking down event booths.

  • Distribute flyers and engage with community members to promote LDAYS’ programs and services.

  • Manage raffle baskets, candle sales, and auction sheets.

  • Handle resource sign-ups and provide information to attendees.

  • Support the team with various event tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm for learning about Learning Disabilities and LDAYS’ programs.

  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with good communication skills.

  • Ability to work on weekends and occasionally during weekdays.

  • Reliable and flexible with a willingness to adapt to different event needs.
