Description (Service)

Offers a broad range of educational services in a mixed urban and rural community covering 4,800 square km. The system's priorities and directions are outlined at www.scdsb.on.ca.

Operates 87 elementary schools, 16 secondary schools, 8 Learning Centres (which includes Adult and Continuing Education and summer school programs) and a Newcomer Welcome Centre for families of students new to Canada - contact 705-725-8360 ext. 45160. Kindergarten registration begins in January. Parents should contact the school their child will attend. Use the Home School Locator tool on the website to verify which school your child/children should be attending, or call 705-734-6363 ext. 11326.
