Description (Service)

Teams respond to 911 dispatched police calls for service, and emergency services referrals with people experiencing mental health and addictions crises in the community.

Team consists of a mental health Crisis worker and a police officer.

  • Hours vary as MCRT teams operate on rotating shifts and are not available 24/7, and in 3 regions (OPP Orillia, Barrie Police and South Simcoe Police)

Eligibility Youth and adults with a serious mental illness or psychosocial crisis and in need of non-medical crisis intervention
