Stayner Lawn Bowling Club invites high school students to apply for volunteer positions for the 2025 season, between mid-May and early September. Great opportunity for students to earn volunteer hours needed for high school qualification. Student will assist with setting up and putting away lawn equipment for lawn bowling sessions and tournament, and carrying out lawn maintenance. We will even teach the students how to lawn bowl and allow them to play in our jitney sessions. Expectation is each volunteer will committ to approximately 20 hours over the season (four months)
Volunteer hours: Monday and Wednesday mornings 9:30 am - 12 noon and Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:30 pm - 9 pm

- Participate in the operation of the shelter (shifts - evening, night, breakfast)
- Carry out the many tasks required for the seamless functioning of the shift/program.
- Interact with guests throughout the duration of the shift (unless it’s quiet/sleep hours).
Volunteers would be responsible for stocking shelves, cleaning the store, re-organizing items, aseembling product, and assisting customers. Volunteers who are interested should visit the website to register to volunteer.
Volunteers must wear certified safety shoes, be capable of lifting up to 25lbs, able to stand for extended periods of time and be comfortable with 2-3 step instruction.
Assist with repairing used bicycle; Salvaging parts; Organizing/sorting bike shop equipment and tools; Assisting clients/public with bicycle repairs.
Repairing used bicycles for distribution or sale to the public.
