During the winter when the temperature drops below -10°C or during an adverse weather event, the County of Simcoe will activate the following locations as warming centres for those living unhoused. Call to confirm.

• Barrie East (Blake St) - open Mon-Sun 24 hours
• Central Barrie (Tiffin Street) - open Mon-Sun 24 hours
• Wasaga Beach - Mon-Sun 8:30 pm-8:30 am

While utilizing County-funded warming centres, individuals can also access support to find shelter, housing, healthcare, and other services and supports.

Additionally the following warming centres are also available when the temperature drops below -10°C:

Barrie

• Warming Centre - offered by The Salvation Army until April 30, 2025

Bradford West Gwillimbury

• Wow Living, Out of the Cold Cafe

Clearview

• Evergreen Christian Ministries - available as a warming centre Tue 9:30 am-2:30 pm, from Jan 14, 2025 to February 25, 2025

Orillia

• Orillia Overnight Warming Centre- on nights where there is an extreme cold weather warning.

In Barrie, the Warming Beds offered by the Elizabeth Fry Society Simcoe Muskoka will be available continuously until April 30, 2025 and are not dependent on low temperature or adverse weather events.
