Description (Service)

Girl Guides of Canada–Guides du Canada (GGC) is the leading organization for girls and women in Canada, with 97,000 members across the country

  • offers a wide range of extracurricular activities for girls and young women, with opportunities to explore the arts, sciences, outdoor challenges and become more globally aware through participating in enriching experiences that will stay with them for a lifetime

Eligibility
  • Girls and young women, cisgender, transgender and non-binary, who want to challenge themselves, to find their voice, meet new friends, have fun and make a difference in the world
  • Youth branches: Sparks: 5-6 yrs; Embers (formerly Brownies): 7-8 yrs; Guides: 9 - 11 yrs; Pathfinders: 12-14 yrs; Rangers: 15 - 18 yrs
  • Leaders: 18 yrs and up

Fees Membership - Fees may vary ; Annual Membership fee with subsidy application available during registration process; Optional additional outing and/or camp costs.
Volunteer Description Volunteers must be 18+ to apply.  
- Volunteering with girls in a unit – as a Unit Guider you’ll facilitate empowering, hands-on activities for girls ages 5-17 in your community in weekly meetings which run from fall until spring. 
- Volunteering with other adults to support Guiding – volunteer as a treasurer or assist at special events, camps and more.
