Description and Service Details

Description (Service) pflag Barrie-Simcoe County Chapter
  • is a volunteer-driven peer-facilitated support group for parents, caregivers and all folks wanting to better understand and support their family members and loved ones who are members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community
  • is committed to providing safer spaces for everyone and especially for those with lived experience as a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in need of or wanting to provide peer support to others in the community and their parents, caregivers and loved ones around topics including sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression
  • supports, educates, affirms, respects and values all sexualities, genders and gender expressions
  • holds twice-monthly meetings:
    • in-person on the first Wednesday of each month and
    • via Zoom on the third Wednesday of each month (no Zoom in December)
Hours In-person Meetings: first Wed of every month, email to register and for time and location of meeting
