Description and Service Details

Description (Service) Trained Volunteers, help people affected by emergencies and disasters, from house fires to a regional floods
  • mitigate, prepare, respond and recover from emergencies and disasters
  • work with governments and humanitarian organizations to provide for people's basic needs - food, clothing, shelter, first aid, emotional support and family reunification during disaster
  • provide specific services offered based on community's needs
Hours Disaster Response Volunteers: Mon-Sun 24 hours, 365 days of the year
Regular Meetings: Volunteers meet every month
Areas Served Haliburton ; Kawartha Lakes ; Muskoka District ; Simcoe County
Eligibility Age Requirements: 18 year(s) and up
