Friendly Calls

  • regular phone calls to provide social interaction and check on the health and safety of people who live alone
  • checks are done by trained and screened volunteers
  • provides a feeling of safety to older adults and their families

Friendly Visiting

  • regular volunteer visits to older adults and people with disabilities who live alone
  • provides companionship, socializing, sharing common interests and experiences and quality time
Hours Hours vary, program is typically available Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Muskoka District ; Simcoe County ; Serve area north of Hwy 89 for all programs, consistent with the North Simcoe Muskoka Home and Community Care Support Services boundary
