Description and Service Details

Description (Service) Breastfeeding Support Groups are for all parents living in Simcoe County or the District of Muskoka
  • weekly in-person or online sessions, at the location and time that is best for mother and baby
  • free groups provide parents a place to talk, share experiences and encourage each other during their breastfeeding experience, nuturing parent-to-parent support
  • Public health nurses offer support and answer questions about feeding baby, baby care, infant sleep, developmental stages, and parenting
Hours In-person: Wed 1 pm-2:30 pm
Online Breastfeeding Group: Mon 1:30 pm-2:30 pm (except for Statutory Holidays) and Wed 10:30 am-11:30 am
Telephone Health Connection: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm

Eligibility
  • No restrictions, prenatal moms are welcome
  • Screening is required for all families attending a program at the Alliston EarlyON Child and Family Centre
