Description (Service) Perform some or all of the following duties
  • issue subpoenas summonses and warrants, including search warrants
  • administer oaths (court related matters only)
  • conduct bail hearings
  • peace bond applications
  • release defendants on judges' orders and explain rights and obligations
Justices of the Peace are no longer available to the public on weekends
