Back to Work Program

  • provides new or gently used work boots to individuals who have legitimate work offers (boots and sizes as available), call for information
  • usable work boots can be dropped off at the Bayside Mission Centre at any time

Community Laundry and Shower

  • sign up is required
  • for showers last appointment starts at 2:30pm
  • for laundry last appointment starts at 1pm
  • runs Mon-Fri only, excluding holidays


Bundle up Barrie Winter Clothing Campaign

  • provides donated coats to the homeless and other individuals and families who do not have a warm coat for the winter
  • Annual Campaign takes place in October
  • donated coats can be dropped off at the Community and Family Services office at the Salvation Army Bayside Mission Centre, 16 Bayfield St, Barrie
  • coats are distributed from the Community and Family Services office in October and November

Baby's Closet

  • provides emergency assistance to parents with young children
  • items such as diapers, formula, baby food, baby wipes, clothing and household items are available

ID Clinic

  • Assists low income individuals in obtaining an Ontario Birth Certificate by appointment only

  • As of May 1, 2023, The Salvation Army in Canada is no longer accepting new applications for family tracing inquiries
