• Local genealogical researchers have access via computer to the library resources based in Salt Lake City through FamilySearch.org
• computer access to International Genealogical Index for Canada, US and Great Britain, Germany, Spain, France, Netherlands, Yugoslavia, and Denmark as well as on CD-ROM
• have 2000 version of the Family Search Compact Disk collection including Scottish Church Records on CD-ROM, 1880 United States Census on CD-ROM, 1881 British Census on CD-ROM, 1881 Canadian Census on CD-ROM and Acadia-Cajun Family Trees
• have Vital Record Index for Western Europe (Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy and Spain), Scandinavia, British Isles and Australian Vital Records on CD-ROM
• access to Pedigree Resource File with Index which is individually submitted family pedigrees from all countries worldwide
• have a referral service to the Ontario Genealogical Society
• have Heritage Quest - heritagequestonline.com which contains Census Records, Books, PERSI, Revolutionary War records, Freedman's Bank Records, US Serial Set

Access at the Family History Centre to:

• family search and online databases such as Ancestry.com, Find My Past, My Heritage and some others
• microfilm/fiche reader printer for making copies
• Zoom Training Meetings on the last Wednesday of each month, 7:30-8:30 pm on a variety of topics, call to access the link for the meeting

Beginner Training Sessions available

• Classes are available in person at the Center or via Zoom
• six sessions beginning with creating your own free FamilySearch account, which culminates with a four generation fan chart suitable for framing

Family Search Presentations

• featuring a variety of topics, including (but not limited to), an introduction to Family Search, basic research tips, merging documents and other genealogical topics as requested, if possible

• Tue 12:30 pm-3:30 pm, 6:30 pm-9:30 pm * Wed, Fri 12:30 pm-3:30 pm * Sat - by appointment only, 11 am - 2 pm
• Summer hours vary, call first

• Assist a Family History Consultant with community members searching for their family
• Attend team meetings via zoom on a monthly basis for ongoing training
• Participate in one shift (3 hours) per week
• Training will be provided
