Description (Service) | The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) is a public agency dedicated to the preservation of a healthy environment through specialized programs to protect, conserve and enhance our water, wetlands, forests and lands. Hike, cycle, and cross-country ski our beautiful trails at one of NVCA's 11 conservation areas. Paddle and fish along the many branches of the Nottawasaga River. Participate in one of NVCA's environmental education events and programs. NVCA works with landowners across the Nottawasaga Watershed to protect and restore our environment, and helps ensure the future of our healthy water. Each year, thousands of volunteers participate in tree planting and stream and river restoration projects. NVCA also works to protect people and property from damage associated with flooding and erosion. It also works to protect source water (our drinking water) from contamination.
