Description and Service Details

Description (Service) Provides rescue, rehabilitation and safe release of injured and orphaned wildlife.

Working with local communities to provide care for wild animals in need, and to educate and promote public appreciation for wildlife preservation. Animals are rescued, rehabilitated and safely released by Procyon volunteers.

Facility includes:
  • medical and surgical care to sick and injured animals
  • nurseries for raising infants until they are old enough to release
  • outdoor enclosures where animals are transitioned back into their natural, wild environment
  • a learning centre where children and community groups can learn about wild animals
Provincially licensed by the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Eligibility No restrictions for services. Volunteers must be 18+.
