DescriptionTelephone crisis line providing Simcoe County and Muskoka residents with single point access to crisis services for both adults and children * crisis line serves individuals 24 hours a day that feel the need to speak to a professional trained in mental health and addictions * crisis line workers provide information, referrals, assistance in resolving crises and securing appropriate crisis intervention as well as pre-crisis support to persons who have experienced severe mental illness and/or psychosocial stressors * following a telephone assessment by the worker the mobile service may be initiated for individuals living in the Barrie area that need someone to meet them in the community to provide a more intensive level of support * this service is available from 11am to 11pm * short term crisis beds are available if required following an assessment of need and prioritized due to limited access * the telephone crisis line service is a partnership between Mental Health and Addiction Services of Simcoe County and mental health programs in Alliston, Orillia, Midland, Collingwood and Muskoka as well as with Kinark Child and Family Services
