DescriptionBehaviour Management Services, established in 1977, is a department of Mackenzie Health, Mental Health Program * this department provides behavioural services to individuals who have a developmental disability with a significant cognitive delay (dual diagnosis) * service is provided through a mediator model to the individual and significant people in the individual's life 
 
Service is determined by examination of needs and may be provided through individual and/or group support * behaviour intervention is provided through a comprehensive evaluation followed by positive-based teaching and programming * a full range of challenging needs are addressed and include general management, aggression, self injury, skill promotion and social problem solving 
 
Behaviour Management Services is fully funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services through a service agreement with Mackenzie Health* resource services provided through educational workshops and lectures

ApplicationReferral - self * by telephone or in writing * Referral - with individual's consent by Family members, Community Agencies, Teachers, Medical and other Professionals * a referral package will be sent out and an intake meeting will be scheduled to gather more information and determine the most appropriate services
