DescriptionThe Borden Family Resource Centre is a non-profit, charitable, community responsive organization which supports the mission of the Canadian Forces by providing a comprehensive range of support services and resources geared to fostering and enhancing one’s quality of life. Consumers of Service include CF Members and their immediate families; DND Civilian Employees and their immediate families; others who provide direct Support to the CF; and other consumers on a space availability basis. Programs, services and activities include:

Community Outreach Services

Community Outreach Services is a multi-disciplinary team providing adult-oriented bilingual, community-responsive programming that emphasizes choice and empowerment. The programs, services and activities offer a number of alternatives including information, resources and support to enhance the capacity of individuals and families to successfully integrate into the community. Programs and services are structured to maximize accessibility, communication and safety of all community members, and include:

* Adult Education and Personal Enrichment Program * Second Language Training Service * Information Resource Program * Employment Assistance Service * Prevention and Intervention Program * Family Separation and Reunion Service * Volunteer Services * Family and friends support group

Children and Youth Services

Children & Youth Services offers a wide range of programs for children and youth zero (0) to eighteen (18) years. Programs are designed to accommodate a variety of community needs, facilitate child/youth development and provide information and resources to Parents and Care Providers within the community. Programs include:
